Founding Udder Delights Cheese Maker, Sheree Sullivan has been teaching home cheese making classes for the past 4 years. Her experience, knowledge and sense of fun have made the classes very high in demand. They make a great day or night out, and create a meaningful life memory as well as delicious cheese! Be prepared for a hands-on class where you get to do everything and eat everything!

The cheese making classes are run in two different formats with two different price points.
‘Home Cheesemaking by Udder Delights’ through WEA Adult Education: This class is run at a cost of $99 per head and is held at Loreto College, which is just east of Adelaide. You will learn how to make Feta, learn how to turn the Feta into Camembert and learn how to turn the left over Whey into Ricotta. You will take home the 6 Feta that you have made in the class and comprehensive notes provided on the day. The class includes an extensive cheese tasting. You have to provide your own equipment and milk; Sheree provides tuition, cheese hoops, cultures and rennet. Up to 24 students can fit into this class which is held on Saturday mornings from 9:30am to 1pm.
‘Easy Cheesey Home Cheese Making Class’ held at the Udder Delights Cheese Cellar: This class is our premium class and run at a cost of $180 per head, it is held in our underground cellar at the Udder Delights Cheese Cellar in Hahndorf. You will be taught two different styles of cheese making, learning how to make Quark, Cream Cheese, Feta and Camembert. You will take home 1 container of quark, 1 cream cheese and 4 Feta that you have made in the class & comprehensive notes provided on the day. The class includes an extensive cheese tasting, coffee, light lunch and wine. You don’t have to provide anything other than a willingness to have fun and learn; Sheree provides the rest. Up to 14 students can fit into this class which is held on Saturdays from 10am to 2:30pm.

Bookings: To book your place in the next available ‘Easy Cheesey Home Cheese Making Class’ call the Udder Delights Cheese Cellar on 08 8388 1588. We require payment to secure your booking, so have your credit card handy. A receipt and letter of confirmation will be sent out to upon payment.
To book your place in the next available WEA ‘Cheese Making by Udder Delights’ Class go to www.wea-sa.com.au and type ‘cheesemaking’ into the search option. You are able to make bookings on the WEA website or call WEA enrolments office on 8223 1272. Some WEA dates outlined on our cheese making class dates blog may not be available yet on the WEA website. Please ring the enrolment office to get your name on the waiting list if this is the case.
Vouchers: You are able to purchase an ‘Easy Cheesey Home Cheesemaking Class’ Voucher – we are able to send it to you or to the recipient. You do not have to book a date when you purchase a voucher – rather the recipient of the voucher can call us when they are ready to book into a class.
Private Bookings: You are able to book your own group into a private cheese making class. The minimum number for a group booking is 10 people and the maximum is 14 people. The private classes are run at a cost of $140 per head and are held in the underground cellar at Udder Delights Cheese Cellar. You will learn how to make Feta, learn how to turn the Feta into Camembert and learn how to turn the left over Whey into Ricotta. You will take home 6 Feta that you have made in the class and comprehensive notes. The class goes for 3 1/2 hours and includes an extensive cheese tasting and your choice of morning tea, a light lunch, or afternoon tea, depending upon the time you have booked in. You don’t have to provide anything other than a willingness to have fun and learn.
